I enjoy rping also.Ive been rping with people in guild wars for a long time now.The only problem is there are many who dont like it and rpers are hard to find in the game.I was in a guild where they supposedly rped.They had the storylines on there forums and such,but in the game they made little effort to talk in character.Also many people are not willing to act like there character in game all the time.However,I think role-playing in any game is very enjoyable and if you do it with the right people it can add a whole new dimension to the game.

I know we aren't supposed to recrute here, but my situation is a bit different.

I was given a guild by its founder that moved on to another game. I really would like to join an RP guild, but it would be such a waste to give up this guild and it's hall.

Last night in Fisherman's Haven (INT), there was a gathering, of sorts, of a few different RP guilds. I was so encouraged to actually see others RP! (Kudos to the OOK for the nice RP I peeked in on) Yay!

I'd like to get together with others that RP, so please contact me...

I would say GW is not even a rpg game, is more like pvp game. I cannot even find any real rpg in this game at all.

With the coming of Chapter 2, the new features will allow guilds to share alliance chat and hopefully role-play more frequently with each other. I've always found the Forever Knights RP enjoyable and interesting in GW to be honest and that it has been recognised by Anet by FK being GotW for unique Lore.

After being with the Forever Knights now for over 2 yrs and building friendships across the globe I've found members manners to be most friendly and accepting to people's from all walks of life.

I apologise Daithi if any of us have ever upset you in any way.

Back In I guess it was November I applied to the Forever Knights. I was denied and was quite upset. But I did not give up hope. Through playing with many members and talking to many Knights I learned how they decide who is aloud Initiation. I then learned why I was denied. After five months I decided to try again and was successful. I passed my Initiation and now am a Paige (we have ranking system). I absolutely love the RP and it is everything I had hoped for. Many people have many different styles of RP they like so it is understandable that Wolf might have not liked ours. But there are so many that do. Due to the fact we have an application and an Initiation period we can easily weed out those who are in an RP guild for the wrong reasons, which in turn makes a tightly wound group of friends from all over the world who play together. I would encourage anyone to join in our order and become friends either by joining our guild or applying for Allyship. And remember if you don't get in the first time we will give you advice about applying again, it is never personal. Hope everyone checks us out for Chapter 2.

Daithi, we are very sad to hear that you feel that way. But please do not pass judgement onto other people. RP, as identified in this very thread, is a very personal thing. And perhaps the people in FK that were on at the same times as you were not your style of RPers. That is not for you to judge for others though. Hence the initiate time frame we offer. That way people can see if we match their style as much as us see if they match ours.

And we also greatly look forward to the future alliances and benefits that Factions will bring us,

Fair enough but we all have our opinions.I think something you should take into account is that you should perhaps not "weed out" people who you only know for a week.Soemtimes people take time to adjust and to make their impression.My advice to you would be to perhaps accept new members more kindly and help them to learn to RP.Just some constructive criticism.

I would like to clarify that weed out statement as I misproperly used it. This is just for record by the way for those who do not know how we opperate. When we Initiate someone we do not try to judge them or get to know them in a week. It is simply to keep out bad attitudes which will usually surface before a week has past, and also to stop from falling victim of scammers by watching how much certain people simply ask for things all the time. Not trying to defend just clarify and thank you for your input Daitha as it is good to hear the bad sometimes so that we may improve upon our order.

Hi there...

Im a 32 yr old RP veteran... I have been playing computer and table top RPGs for over 20 yrs... Recently I bought GW Factions and now Im looking for a good guild or some friends...

Im specifically looking for a friendly, mature guild preferably with some roleplayers among the ranks... I understand GW is not a RPing game, but I do enjoy occasional roleplaying and would love to meet up with some fellow rpers... I dont really care for big, anonymous guilds, I would much more prefer a smaller and more personal guild...

Im fairly active and have lots of time, so Im looking for a guild thats active as well... Im on European time, but I play a lot at night...

Oh, in most MMORPGS I have played, I have been a guild master myself, so I have some leadership qualities and people skills...

I would love to set up a new RP guild from the ground up to improve RP standards or join a friendly guild with at least an open mind to roleplaying... if youre interested, let me know!

This thread is a bit long to go through all of it so I figured I'd post a message, run up the flag so to speak, and see who salutes.

My main in game name is Menoch Satayr (and all my chars have the surname Satayr, except one, because I was in a mood) I used to play on MUDS and rp'd there. Guildwars is my first mmorpg type game, I've been playing for about 6 months (according to /age). I'm also picking up factions tomorrow (thank god)

I'd love to find other roleplayers, and would be even happier with with a full on guild.

For the record (if it matters) I'm 24, male, I work nights so while I can log on a bit in the evening, I'm primarily on in the early morning (est).

So yeah, that's that. PM me or something if anyone has room for one more

I took a hiatus from Guild Wars for a long while, and I've come back for a bit, just to get a change from the game I had left it for. I had a few friends, but the only one that remained is far past anything I've ever done, so grouping with him is pretty much out.... so... I'm in search of more friends.

I'm pretty much a full-time roleplayer, only going ooc because I've got to explain game mechanics to people and whatnot. I'm looking for some likeminded folks who've not absolutely conquered the game and like doing smallish things like performing quests and exploring.

I thought about joining a guild, but because I don't know how long I'll last in-game. Anyone who might be able to help me out making a couple of roleplayish friends would find me forever in their debt.
